Had a look at a range of You Tube things, some entertaining and some more serious (often both). I really liked the Science Hack ones also. I think this tool is wonderful (apart from the recreational features) for the self-educational opportunities it offers. Also potential for "ordinary" people to have a creative oulet.
Professionally I think SLV could utilise a lot of videos embedded at various points in our web page where we could provide advise on eg searching the catalogue, or how to use a database (or what is a database!). Also some of the subject pages could utilise videos.
